Our company is currently accepting applications from commercial and hobby beekeepers in the Des Moines metro area that are looking to expand their beekeeping operations in 2020/2021/2022. Our company currently has six (6) vacant lots available that are in the City of Des Moines that can be used as “out bee yards”, “queen breading yards”, “mating yards”, “queen mating yards”, “drone development yards”, “Nuc yards”, etc.
Lot sizes range from 2,050 sq ft to 6,300 sq ft., with one lot having river access to Four Mile Creek.
Very competitive lease rates. Most lots are not fenced in, but we can work with a leasee to install fencing to meet their security needs.
We can also offer lease durations from 1 year up to 10 years.
We have no interest in honey as payment/trade for land lease.
But we will accept 5-frame nucs, mini-mating nucs and/or cash as payment, or any combination of bees and/or cash as payment.
